Chlorinated polyethylene resin (CPVC)

CAS number: 68648-82-8

Molecular formula: (C₂H₃Cl)n

Product Alias: Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride(CPVC)、PVC-C、Polychloroethylene

Product Description

Perchloroethylene resin is a high molecular polymer prepared by deep chlorination of polyvinyl chloride, with a chlorination degree usually ranging from 61% to 65%. It is a white or slightly yellow powdery solid with no obvious peculiar smell. It features excellent chemical corrosion resistance, weather resistance, water and moisture resistance, dielectric properties, as well as good film-forming property and strong adhesion. The film formed is flexible, smooth and glossy.

This resin is soluble in organic solvents such as ketones, esters and aromatic hydrocarbons, but insoluble in water and lower alcohols, with outstanding processability. It can be formed by coating, dip coating, molding and other processes, serving as a core raw material in fields like chemical anti-corrosion, coatings, inks, adhesives and leather finishing. In anti-corrosion coatings, its paint film can resist erosion by acids, alkalis, salt spray and various chemical media, and is widely used for the anti-corrosion protection of chemical equipment, ships, pipelines and metal components. In the ink and coating industry, it can improve the adhesion, wear resistance and weather resistance of products, and can also be used to make flame-retardant materials to meet the safety requirements of industrial fields. In addition, perchloroethylene resin can be modified and blended with other resins to further expand application scenarios and adapt to the customized needs of different industries.
